Integrating Yoga Practice and Buddhist Meditation - with Michael Stone Oct. 8-10
This unique workshop will integrate sitting meditation and an in-depth practice of yoga postures. The schedule includes formal meditation (with instruction), yoga practices and dharma talks.
7:00 to 8:30 pm Friday evening Public Talk: Yoga & Buddhism: Paths of Creative Engagement with Life.
Saturday 9am to noon asana and sitting
1:30 to 4pm sit and dharma talk
Sunday 9 to noon asana and sitting
Cost:
$200 if registered before September 1st.
$225 after September 1st.
$15 for the Friday evening talk alone.

Michael Stone is a psychotherapist in private practice, teacher and author. He co-leads Centre of Gravity Sangha, a diverse community of Yoga & Buddhist practitioners in Toronto, and travels internationally, teaching in academic, yoga studio and clinical settings. Michael offers courses and retreats that focus on integrating yoga postures, breathing practices, meditation and textual study. His research and teaching explore the intersection of committed spiritual practice and social action.
Michael's academic background includes studies in psychology, psychoanalysis, philosophy and comparative religion. He teaches yoga in the tradition of Krishnamacharya and his principal teacher is Richard Freeman. He has studied Ashtanga, Iyengar and other forms of hatha yoga in depth as well as Sanskrit and Indian philosophy, Vipassana and Zen. For more information go to: www.centreofgravity.org
