A progressive course in which the fundamentals of Ashtanga yoga are introduced and practiced, culminating in the traditional Ashtanga vinyasa flow through 5 Sun Salutation As & Bs, the Standing Postures of the Primary Series and the Final Three poses of the Finishing Sequence. Breath awareness, foundation and alignment are emphasized, as well as how to modify the poses for each individual’s needs, so that everyone may safely challenge themselves within their own practice. Suitable for those new to Ashtanga, but even experienced practitioners can benefit. *pre-registration for this class is required*
